Sick babies............
Friday Evan spiked a fever of 101.5 and was acting not as himself. We immediately took him to the Dr. due to the head growth issue because we didn't know if the two could be related. Fortunately they are not. He had a very sore throat according to Dr. Freshwater. He put him on antibiotics and said the others will likely catch it. At around 4pm Ethan had a high fever also. We called and he too is on an antibiotic. So far Olivia is staying clear. Evan was doing better today. However Ethan has been on the fussy side to say the least. Not to mention his problem is compounded with the eruption of his first tooth. He is the first one to get a tooth. He is chewing and drooling like crazy. No more getting the others to close in fear he will gnaw on their little hands. The weekend has been quite long so far and it is only Saturday night. My hopes are that Ethan will sleep entirely through the night. Last night we were up twice. Poor little guy.
Nicole and Olivia had a nice time at their first party together. They spent the day at the mother daughter banquet at Church. They both won flowers. Olivia came home quite happy. She was talking up a storm. The boys and I stayed home and spent the day doing much of nothing. Nicole's first mother's day weekend has somewhat had an overcast to it with the illness in the house. I was planning to go to the store tonight and get a little gift from the trio, but the fussiness was in full swing and the plans changed. We talked about it and she is just going to pick something out and have it mailed to us. Makes it easier, but takes all the fun and surprise out of it. We'll just have to make it up next year.

We didn't make it to the Zoo................
We didn't make it to the zoo as planned. The plan was to go to the zoo today, but we decided not to go due to the weather that was forecasted. Today came and it was beautiful outside. We thought about going after all but it was midday at that point and it takes a lot of planning to pack everyone and everything up. Another day. Instead we towed around town and did some errands. After that we spent some time in our backyard. This was the first time the kids have been outside without being in their carseats. They really enjoyed it for the most part. Ethan got a little fussy towards the end. We just threw a blanket down under our apple tree and spent some time together.
We had our six month check up on Friday and received more immunizations. Always a pleasure. Three to calm down. Olivia took it the worst this time. Always someone different. Evan's head has grown at a faster rate than what is to be expected. he is scheduled for a CT scan to make sure the fluid level around the brain is at an acceptable level. If it is not, we are looking at a shunt to keep the fluid level at an acceptable level. Other than that everyone is doing well. Evan is 15 lb 10 oz, Ethan 15 lb 8 oz, and Olivia 12 lb 5 oz. It looks like they are a lot bigger compared to her picture wise, but when you look at the numbers she is not that far behind them. She will probably kick their butts.
