I had my first ultrasound around six weeks and I was very excited for it. Harold and I go to the appointment get in the ultrasound room, and soon it was underway. The ultrasound had no more than started and the sonographer lets out a little chuckle. I said, "What?!?" She said, "There are babies." Harold I thought was going to fall off the stool he was sitting on. He said, "You said babies, as in plural?" Kristin (our favorite ultrasound gal) said, "There are three of them, one, two, three", as she showed us on the screen. I turned to look at Harold who I thought would drop to the floor at this point. He was grinning from ear to ear. He began asking the dumbest questions I thought I had ever heard. I earned myself a lot of u/s (ultrasounds) Kristin said.
The u/s ended and we approached the desk to make another appointment, we find everyone in the office staring at us with the biggest smiles. They were all very excited for us. One lady said, "Well he doesn't look like he is going to pass out, but he does look a little bewildered." We made the appointment and left the office.
We left the office in shock and amazement. The news of triplets was the most shocking news I think we ever could have gotten. I never in a million years would have thought that I would have triplets. Twins maybe, but never triplets.
