Working on eating our puffs without help.................

A terrorist strikes...................

This is the life......................

Grandma Gloria bought a bigger pool this weekend and I cannot wait for Dad and Mom to take me in it. I love to swim and be in the water. Dad set it up and started the process of getting it swim ready. Now, I have to wait for the water to warm up.

Ethan can scoot backwards..............

Ethan is almost getting ready to takeoff crawling. He scoots backwards wonderfully as you can see. Evan still prefers his head scoot method. Olivia gets up on her arms and legs but not at the same time.

This was two weekends ago eating puffs...............

This was two weeks ago working on getting puffs to our mouths.

The day you became a DAD!

Day 6 ended with three babies, Happy First Fathers day!

The day before becoming a dad...............times three!

Happy Father's Day with love times three...

What better day then today to do my first ever blog post?!?!

After a busy morning....I'll just start from the beginning!

Boys sleep in till 8:30am...AMEN on this beautiful Sunday morning. Olivia, still exhausted from having cousin Aidan stay for 2 nights and chilling with her cousins and floating around in a baby pool yesterday afternoon, slept in till 10 am. Ok, if that would have been a day that mom and dad could sleep in, how amazing....unfortunately today was not that day.

So the prep and packing for church was way behind schedule. We were able to get everything accomplished and we only left the house 20+ minutes late. But, really we do so well everyother Sunday.

We enjoyed a peaceful Sunday morning ride to church, which isn't always the case:) Upon arrival we loaded the trio in and of course the babies became instant distraction for the other kids in Junior Church. I will say, one concern for the babies is the contact to others and children. But, I will say the kids in Junior Church have been amazing when it has come to the babies. Occasionally, I have gotten the can I hold a baby question but the kids, they GET IT! It totally amazes me, but after a good explanation of the caution needed because of germs, they just get it. The babies are able to go and enjoy Junior Church (watching kids sing and dance is free entertainment for the trio) because of this.

So after church we enjoyed a quick lunch and headed home. After a quick stop at the store for...of course more formula and baby food! We finally were home to unload everything and played with the kids on the floor.

We sat amazed at the little things they have started to do over the past few weeks. Over the weekend Ethan decided he could get up on his knees and he moved..not a lot. Harold, like the very proud dad he is told me....I count that as crawling:) We also got to witness Olivia rolling onto her pacifier and then rolling back to grasp it and push it right back in her mouth. We were so excited for her as it took thought and coordination to get all those steps together. And it didn't last long, Ethan decided to grab it and put it in his mouth, and I know...its gross and the germs...but we enjoyed watching every minute of it :)

So off for naps the babies went and it left me wondering...what am I going to blog about on this special day.

So here goes...Harold..

I have spent the afternoon reflecting back on where we've come the past year. The mountains we've climbed and still continue each and everyday. Reading back through this blog brought about some of the best moments we've conquered together. Bed rest, bed rest and even more bed rest add in doctor visits, hospital visits and of course the Kroger pharmacy runs (atleast you've made good friends there). Before the trio was blessed to meet us, they had an amazing dad. You gave and gave all you had, just so I would lay in bed. I found this quote while I was reading this afternoon, and I thought you and all our readers would find this funny and true.

Fathers Day Poem From Wife to Husband

Of course, I'm not your child, but nevertheless
This message is sent to say
I played my part, I supplied the eggs
Have a lovely Father's Day

Of all the poems and quotes today, you have fit the mold in every single way. So I want to end this very long post, with something the babies wanted me to share:)

When we were born we made a wish
And that wish it came true
We wished for a perfect daddy
And the one we got was you!

We play lots of game together
And we have so much fun
And when we've filled our nappies
You even clean our bums!

We love our goodnight cuddles
Just before we go to bed
Our special goodnight story
Before we rest our sleepy heads.

You're always there beside us
And we just want to say
We are glad you're our daddy
With lots of love on your first Father's Day!
-Unknown

So on this first Father's Day...I want to say Thanks for ALL you do and loving each and every one of us everyday.

Evan the acrobat..................

This is Evan's mode of transportation. He lifts his entire body off the ground and scoots along. The other pic is of him trying to escape from the crib. It didn't work very well.

New things................

We tried little puffs of cereal this weekend and Dad got this toy out for us to play with. We got it for Christmas but have not really been into toys until recently.
Watching the animals go round and round on our toy we got at Christmas.

I like the puffs!

More puffs please..................................

Not sure if I like the puffs or not ;)

It's been awhile since we have had commentary...........

Yesterday we spent the day shampooing the carpets. The kids are starting to really roll around and it was time to get them cleaned anyhow. Hopefully we can be vigilant enough to keep them from spitting up on them. Of course we know that has never happened :)

Olivia is getting both of her lower teeth at the same time and needless to say is a little bit unhappy about the whole situation. Both the boys have their two lower teeth.

The kids are continually putting arms and legs through the crib rails. The question is do we put the crib pads on or wait? I don't know, there is so much controversy on such a little issue.

The kids are ready for their breakfast so I have to go for now.
